MEDICAL MICRONEEDLING
Dermapen is a medical microneedling device that contains oscillating microneedles to penetrate the skin, which stimulates new collagen and elastin (skin cells) to be produced. This a very result driven treatment than targets concerns, such as; acne, congestion, fine lines/wrinkles, pigmentation, skin texture & even appearance, reduces pore size and scarring. Whilst also improving product penetration by 100x to further treat the skins concerns & goals.

Cool peel facials are not advised during pregnancy, there is higher risk for hyperpigmentation so as a precaution it should be avoided.
The vitamin touch facial can be performed as there is Retinyl Palmitate not Retinol (which is not advised to be used during pregnancy). Always seek advise from your GP or midwife if you are concerned.
Microneedling can be performed, however topically numbing is not permitted and your sensitivity may be higher during pregnancy so it depends on your comfort levels.

Tolerance differs from each individual. The sensation is more annoying than painful, however numbing agent is used prior to make you as comfortable as possible.

I allow one hour from start to finish. This includes preparation of the skin (cleansing, sanitation, numbing, microneedling 10-15 minutes approx), cooling masque & finishing product.

Yes. Your wound healing response is triggered which is why your skin goes red. We want redness!

A few factors will determine this, depth of treatment, skin type, product consumption etc. Redness can typically be expected for 24-72 hours but will continue to settle during this timeframe.

Post treatment for approximately 24-72 hours your skin will feel hot and slightly tender. Post 3-7 days your skin may feel slightly dry as the regeneration process begins (break outs are possible). Over the coming weeks/months your skin will begin to balance and concerns targeted will gradually decrease.

Depending on what you are hoping to treat and the severity. Typically 3 consecutive sessions 2-8 weeks apart as a rule of thumb.

Yes there will be some downtime where you will be red and possibly tender. This is typically 24-72 hours, but will settle within that timeframe.

No. As microneedling increases your product penetration by 100%, those products that sat on the surface of the skin will be absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin which is not safe.
